Back to our regularly scheduled program…

After a long long long break (ohhh…3 months) I am back!  I am sure I have lost all my readers (well, maybe my mom will read again), but hopefully I make some new ones and my old ones find their way back (please, please come back).

What has happened in your life since February?  Anything exciting?

I feel like I missed out on a lot of what happens in blogland…I was given a chance to be a part of the “BlogHer Publishing Network”…but I totally dropped that ball by not responding within 30 days.  I missed my one year Blog-a-versary; sniffle, sniffle.  Karah at The Space Between awarded me the Liebster Award…and I suppose I dropped that ball also.  Here is a very belated ‘Thank You!’ to Karah.  I think some things are better late than never, so I will write a post about Liebster soon!  Also, Brandi at His Shabby Her Chic tagged me in a good ol’ game of bloggy tag, and I never continued the game.  Sorry Brandi!!  I am back and I will keep the game up very soon.  In the mean time, perhaps everyone can check out what’s up with Karah and Brandi.  Their blogs are awesome, and it seems like they keep getting better.  Even though I wasn’t writing I was reading ladies (and that’s everyone, not just Karah and Brandi)!

The last few months have been pretty crazy over here at Corner of Main, but I am hoping the next few go by a little more smoothly. Perhaps we’ll talk more about all that fun stuff later.

Today I just wanted to share what motivated me to come back.  A few weeks ago I was walking to work in the beautiful Windy City and I walked past a very strange yet interesting art exhibit in front of the Willis Tower.  As I walked past this:

 Knit balls in Chicago

I thought to myself ‘I totally have to take a pic of this and blog about it.’  And then I realized I haven’t blogged in months.

‘What is this?’ you may ask. Well…apparently it is a whole bunch of knit and crocheted balls laying in the planters along the street.

How whimsical and cute!  Even the some of the bushes were knit up.  It does get a little chilly in Chicago in the spring.

This funny little crafty exhibit made me smile, and I hope it does the same for you!

Have you seen anything crazy like this in your neighborhood?  What was the last thing that made you smile?

I hope you have a Happy Mother’s Day filled with many smiles!
