A week and a half ago my mom and sister-in-law, Carolyn, threw a gender reveal baby shower for me. I had such a wonderful time! It was fun to surprise my friends and family with the sex. I know a popular way to reveal the gender is to cut into a cake that is either pink or blue…but we couldn’t wait for dessert! Instead my mom decided to squish a mylar balloon in a box, wrap it up, and have me open it as the first gift. It was a hit!
I don’t have a good photo of me opening the box, but you can see the balloon in the background of this pic of Carolyn, myself, and my mom: It’s a boy!!
I am so thankful for the beautiful shower I was given and my loving family and friends. Speaking of family, here are a few more pics…
Me with some cousins from my mom’s side…
And a couple cousins from my dad’s side…my cousin to the right is also pregnant and due the day after me!
I didn’t take as many pictures as I would have liked (completely forgot to take a photo with all my friends any my family on Kevin’s side), but I did get some shots of the yummy food (I am eating for two here and um, don’t be surprised if after I have the baby this becomes a diet blog)…
Is this not the cutest baby melon in a basket you have ever seen (or maybe the only one you have ever seen)? Kevin’s cousin made this for us, and I just loved it!
Oh yes, there was also a chocolate fountain. It was fantastic, and my nephews had fun playing in it after the party was over. Sorry Carolyn!
If you didn’t catch that, we are naming the baby after Kevin. He will be a junior. We are so excited to meet Baby Kevy!
Even the favors were adorable! I don’t even want to open my favor; it’s too cute. I suppose there will be much more cuteness to come!
On that note, I have a million cute thank you notes to write; I better get on that. Have a lovely weekend!

I call my hubs Kevy about 99% of the time
Congratulations!

Oh, and my Kevin is kinda a junior. His dad was Todd Kevin and he is Kevin Todd. I don’t think we’ll continue the trend though…
