While I was making some decorated onesies for my little man, I couldn’t get that song out of my head! You’ll see why in a second….
Today is the big Pinterest Challenge hosted by: Kate, Sherry, Katie, and Michelle.

Did you challenge yourself and make something special? I haven’t participated in the past, but I decided to give it a go this time.
A while back a facebook friend of mine showed a pic of her little guy in the cutest onesie decorated with a tie. When I saw a similar tutorial on pinterest I pinned it right away. Lindsay at The Cottage Home made these adorable little outfits for twins:
I was off to the fabric store to get supplies to make a onesie for my sharped dress man (I already had the white onesies from our shower and the print fabric on top of the pile was left over from my curtain making extravaganza)…
After a bit of cutting and stitching here is what I came up with:
I bought the wrong kind of interfacing, so I made it harder than it should have been (and they didn’t turn out perfect…they aren’t tooooo crooked…but I figure he’ll grow out of them in a week and probably just spit up on them!). Next time I will definitely purchase the correct type of interfacing.
My original plan was also to make an outfit with a pair of black glasses hanging from the neckline, but I rather get the correct supplies before I attempt that. I’ll also have to make one with a bow tie (a request made my Kevin). I’ll keep you posted on how that turns out.
I can’t wait to check out what everyone came up with!

Oh my gosh that’s adorable! What a great idea!

Very cute! These would be fun to make for my kids (except with shirts – the little one is outgrowing onesies). This may seem weird but I totally see an owl in the second one you did. Can you see it?

Ohh these are so cute. I can’t even tell they are crooked but it will just add personality any way.

Kelly, those are super duper cute! You are too hard on yourself, I love them. You are right he will grow out of them so fast! I haven’t and probably won’t do anything for the challenge, I make stuff all the time from my boards, which I guess is unsual lol. So there isn’t anything pressing at the moment I am dying to do, yet…:)

So cute! I am getting a new nephew or niece in March, and if it is a boy I totally want to make some like that for him!

This is too adorable. I think Henry needs his own tie onesie. I’ve also seen a blogger make burp cloths with the tie, too, which is adorable.
