Yes you read that right, chocolate chip cookie dough and cheesecake in a dip! How can you go wrong with that?
First let me explain…my sister-in-law is getting married in November and we had a little get-together for some of the bridesmaids at our house last week. I planned on making a bunch of tasty treats for everyone to enjoy, but didn’t exactly get around to making this dip (sad story…kind of). We ended up having veggies, cheese and crackers, and other easy to prepare things. A couple days later the ingredients for this dip were staring at my big pregnant self, and I thought, why not make it now? No one cares that you are home alone and Kevin is working the next 48 hours straight. So I made myself some dessert!
I originally found this recipe on pinterest (yes, another great find on pinterest) from food.com. I guess I pinned it a year ago; well it was worth the wait! I had the dip with Nilla Wafers, but some other suggestions are graham crackers or pretzels.
The original recipe calls it Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dip, but it really is more cheesecakey so I took the liberty of changing the name. I heated up the butter in the microwave, and just used a fork to stir it all up (I didn’t feel like breaking out the mixer). It was quite simple to make and I will definitely be making it again.
Would you believe it even lasted until Kevin got home from work, and he really liked it also (so technically I did not eat it all by myself)?
Have you make any deserts just for yourself (or am I the only piggy out there)? Any other great pinterest finds lately?

Next time you are pregnant and lonely and making something with chocolate chips, call me. I’ll be there on the first plane. Or something.

I made this dip for a party a couple weeks ago and it was a major hit! I could seriously eat it with a spoon.

Sounds delicious. I think you need to use that pregnancy thing to your advantage while you still can. Growing a human is tough. Sugar helps.
