I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas. Ours was wonderful, stressful, but wonderful! It is actually a miracle we survived the holiday! We finished decorating the Christmas tree and mantel around 9 PM on Christmas Eve, started cooking for Christmas day after that, then came wrapping presents. Poor Kevin didn’t even go to bed! I suppose little Kevin wouldn’t have known the difference if all his gifts weren’t wrapped (or even if we didn’t get him any), but we did our best to make the day perfect for our little man.
He even helped open some gifts!
Christmas morning came and went, and then came our big Christmas dinner for 23. I did not realize how much work it is to host a big holiday party! I was so frazzled I didn’t even get to take photos of all the tasty food and the pretty table (bad blogger). My mom did send me a picture of part of the table…
And she even snapped a pic of Santa handing out gifts to the little ones (Kevin is such a good sport!)…
I would say a good time was had by all!
With all the chaos in our house preparing for the party, I forgot to share our Christmas Card and Kevin’s 3 month photos…
Our little peanut did such a great job posing for mommy in his Santa suit. Does that backdrop look familiar to anyone? Which reminds me, a final nursery post should be coming up soon in 2013. On that note, I hope everyone has a very safe and happy New Year’s Eve!
Did you have a nice holiday? Do you have big plans for tonight?
Oh, and I guess I forgot to mention the 30-something part of the title…in between all the Christmas and New Years fun I celebrated my birthday. Kevin did everything he could to make it a very special day (actually more like weekend) for me, and he definitely succeeded. The Kevins met me for lunch at work, we went out for Italian for dinner, and my family came over for birthday cake! Thanks Kevin and family for making me feel so loved =)

Looks & Sounds like it was a great 1st Christmas for your little dude!

I didn’t realize how much work hosting a large group was either until we hosted Thanksgiving this year. We had Christmas day at our house too, but I tried to keep the food really simple. I have so much more respect for my mom now! lol. Your house looks great all decorated and Kevin Jr. is so cute! Happy Birthday and Happy New Year!

Glad the first Christmas went well! I’ve seen a lot of people not wrapping Santa gifts. The shame.

Little Kevin is so cute, it looks like Santa was very good to him! We actually did Reagan’s picture in her “Santa Suit” (a little red dress with a white bow) and sent that out as our Christmas cards as well. He looks like he had a blast taking those pictures. Everything you did and made looks amazing! And Happy (belated) Birthday!!

The table looked great! I can’t believe Kevin didn’t get to sleep on Christmas eve! Haha. Looks like you had a great holiday even if it was a bit stressful. Great Christmas card and happy belated birthday!
