Welcome to our beautiful home on the corner of Main St.
Kevin and I fell in love with this 1920′s colonial the moment we saw it on-line, we put an offer in a few short days later, and we waited eight months to get the offer accepted by the bank (read a little more about the beginning here)! We are so happy we waited, and it was well worth the wait.
Here is our home:
Come inside and see the foyer…
We haven’t done anything to the foyer as of yet. You can see one of our three beautiful vintage chandeliers here.
To the right is our living room (which is also how it was when we moved in):
We have a lot to do in the living room…all in due time I suppose.
To the left of the entryway is the dining room (read more here and here):
And here is what it looks like now:
We still have some finishing touches to do here.
Next is the kitchen…which needs a lot of work also:
The eating area overlooks the sunroom (you can see the old window treatment in there that are falling down…oops). Here is what the sunroom looked like when we moved in:
The above photo was taken right before we took up that DIRTY carpet (yuck). And here is what was underneath:
After painting and a new carpet, the current room can be seen here (definitely a blank canvas):
On the first floor we also have a 1/2 bath that we painted “Sea View” Blue:
Now we can head upstairs…
Here is our smallest bedroom (which you can read about here and here):
And here is the second bedroom/guest room (another work in progress):
And it’s current state (with a little bit of color):
Here is our full bathroom (read about that here, here, and here)…
And lastly, here is our Master Bedroom (read about that here, here, here, and here) {which is Almost done}:
And so concludes our tour
Please check back often to see what we update/change next!

What a beautiful home you have to work with! I can see why you fell in love with it! I especially like those vintage chandeliers–do you know how much it would cost to buy a replica of those?! SO gorgeous.
Also–I’m not sure if maybe it’s just my internet connection, but this page has been loading for probably at least 5 min. and the pictures still aren’t all there. :/ I might be the only one having trouble, but I thought you might want to know!

Beautiful home, houses built back then were put together like battle ships, solid and made to last!

Cute home! I especially LOVE the gorgeous yellow chair covers in your dining room. Did you buy them like that or make those? I want to cover some chairs soon… not sure if it is a DIY project.
